Coaching Sessions.

Our Remixing Education Coaching Sessions are designed to support educators of core content subjects — Math, Science (STEAM), Language Arts, and the Humanities — through teaching their subjects with a day-long activation in one of our verified 4 Learning studios.

These four sessions focus on the process of identifying a real-world problem with your students, connecting that real world problem to content areas and accompanying competencies/learning outcomes, brainstorming artistic content for use in our studios on the day of an activation, and considering student roles so that everyone can participate. The final step? A day in one of our studios where students make a song and a music video with the help of our teaching artists.

Never taught with the recording arts in mind before? Don't worry, this is for you!

Signature Recording Arts Competencies

This set of standards was designed by us at 4 Learning to serve as a curricular guide for our studio facilitators around the world. We do not believe students learn at the same pace, nor should they all be served in the same way. People ask us what curriculum we use, but we believe in designing to each student, personally. So, this means the student is the curriculum, the competencies are what they should know as they learn and grow alongside us. We hope you enjoy using the 4 Learning Recording Arts Competencies.

CIP-Aligned Curriculum

The final piece is our CIP-aligned competency progression for the recording arts, entrepreneurship, and mathematics. This tool was developed in collaboration with Philadelphia Public Schools and is designed for approval in any state. It was made in alignment with national CIP codes, which, once approved, can be used at the high school or community college levels.

California Arts, Media & Entertainment Career-Pathway CTE Curriculum

Our Career and Technical Education curriculum was designed collaboratively with our partner, the YouthBuild Charter School of California, in alignment with California's Arts, Media & Entertainment pathway. It is designed to, over the course of 300 credit-hours, produce a ProTools licensure and hands-on experiences in the recording arts and entertainment industries. To certify students in ProTools, the instructor must be an Avid-certified Pro Tools instructor.
